3 Ideas For Getting Outdoors in South Carolina This Spring

Taking a day out in the Upstate? Try Cedar Falls Park for views the whole family can enjoy. Located in southern Greenville County, Cedar Falls Park is a great all-ages destination. Its trails are non-strenuous, making it perfect for hiking with the very young (and the young-at-heart). There’s even a shelter available to rent for parties that includes electric power, a grill, a playground nearby, restrooms, and enough space to easily accomodate up to 32 people. It’s a great place to see beautiful views of the Reedy River, plan a birthday party, or host a family reunion without having to spend an arm and a leg.

Staying closer to Columbia? Immerse yourself in South Carolina’s history with visits to several historic homes located in and around the city. As the state’s capitol, Columbia has been home to state governors, notable politicians throughout our nation’s history, and is even the childhood home of President Woodrow Wilson.
